Kaido asks Luffy what he will do that can change the world, then Luffy vows to create a world “where [his] Friends can eat whatever they want. “This actually shakes Kaido’s resolve enough that his defense loses a bit, so Luffy is able to make direct contact with his face.

It’s not only Luffy’s favorite thing in the world, but it’s also something that built bridges between characters at key moments like Sanji and Luffy’s reunion during the entire Cake Island arc, massive parties after every victory, and more. Food has always been a major talking point across Wano, and Luffy’s anger only grows as he continues to climb the high seas.
